Bailly’s future at Manchester United has been thrown into doubt in recent weeks.
The Ivory Coast international has been in and out of the side this season.
The 24-year-old was taken off after just 19 minutes against Newcastle last Saturday, with Jose Mourinho’s team 2-0 down at Old Trafford.
After the game United legend Rio Ferdinand claimed there was no way back for Bailly after that.
“This guy, I don’t see a way back for Bailly,” Ferdinand said on BT Sport.
Bailly has been linked with a move to north London sides Tottenham and Arsenal.
But former Liverpool defender Steve Nicol says United must not sell the 24-year-old.
And Nicol believes Bailly is the best central defender the Red Devils have on their books.
“Does any centre-back have a future at Manchester United?” Nicol told ESPN FC.
“If they get rid of them all they won’t have any.
“I would suggest that Bailly of all the centre-backs they have is probably the best one.
“So I see absolutely no way he moves to Tottenham.
“So this is absolutely a miss.”
Bailly joined United from Villarreal for £30million in the summer of 2016.
He has made 63 appearances in all competitions, scoring just once.
